Mystical Agriculture - Magical Soil | ATM10

Overview

Magical Soil is designednot asitself a farmland block, but instead is used the ultimatesame farmingway blockthe forother cruxes from Mystical Agriculture.Agriculture are, by placing it beneath a farmland block. Once a seed is planted on the farmland above the Magical Soil, it will grow regardless of the crop's tier. Meaning players could then plant and grow Uraninite Seeds (tier 5) on Inferium Farmland (tier 1) and even regular dirt.

It replacessupports the need for multiple farmland tiers by supportingalmost every crop on a single block.

  Crop Compatibility

  When placed beneath any tier farmland, or regular dirt farmland, Magical Soil will allow almost all Mystical Agriculture crops to grow, except for Tier 6 crops.

  Tier 6 Crux Limitation

  Tier 6 seeds each require a specific crux block to be placed directly beneath the farmland in order to grow. Since Magical Soil must occupy that same position beneath the farmland, it cannot be combined with a Tier 6 crux. This means Tier 6 seeds cannot be grown on Magical Soil, and automationstill methodsrequire availabletheir inmatching ATM10.

Obtaining Magical Soil

Magical Soil is a late-game item that requires progression through Mystical Agriculture before it can be crafted.

Most of the required materials are obtained by progressing through higher-tier essence crafting and resource generation.

Information Use JEI to view the crafting recipe, as recipes may change between ATM10 versions or server configuration updates.

How Magical Soil Works

Unlike the various tiers of Mystical Farmland, Magical Soil acts as a universal farmland block.

Once placed, any Mystical Agriculture seed can be planted directly onto the soil without needing to match the farmland tier.

Crafting Magical Soil

Magical Soil iscan be crafted using either a Crafting Table or the Infusion Altar from Mystical Agriculture. The recipes are highly different, but both require high tier materials.

To craft Magical Soil in an Infusion Altar you will need:

The standard recipe typically consists of:

• 1 × Insanium Farmland (centre)
• Insanium Blocks surrounding the centre item.
• Dragon Scales as the remaining infusion ingredients.

Using Magical Soil

Unlike standard Mystical Farmland, Magical Soil is placed beneath the farmland rather than being planted on directly.

Setup Instructions

1. Choose where you want your crop to grow.
2. Break the block directly beneath that location.
3. Place the Magical Soil into the empty space.
4. Place a normal block, such as Dirt, back on top of the Magical Soil.
5. Till the top block using a Hoe to create Farmland.
6. Plant your Mystical Agriculture seed on the Farmland.

The seed will detect the Magical Soil underneath and grow normally, allowing crops that would otherwise require higher-tier farmland to be planted.

Tip Because the Magical Soil is hidden beneath the farmland, your farm retains the appearance of a normal crop field while still supporting every Mystical Agriculture crop.
