Tekkit SMP Introduction

Designed as an upgraded edition of Tekkit 2 and a continuation of the classic Technic Pack SSP modpack from the earliest days of Technic, Tekkit SMP is the modpack that was originally meant to be — with a nostalgic host of both technical and magical mods at your disposal.

 

Tekkit SMP contains the full range of mods from Tekkit 2, plus the mods that were dropped in the transition from Technic SSP to Tekkit: mainly Thaumcraft, Mystcraft, and Mo' Creatures. Tekkit SMP expands on that with carefully selected Thaumcraft and Mystcraft addons, alongside Mo' Creatures Extended and smaller additions such as Re-Crystallized Wing.

 

Electro-Magic Tools is another starring mod — an addon to both IndustrialCraft and Thaumcraft, combining the worlds of tech and magic.

How do I start on the modpack?

The magic of Tekkit SMP is the freedom of doing things your way! Gather some resources, build and claim your base, and explore what the pack has to offer.

  • If you're into tech, a good place to start is BuildCraft.
  • If you're into magic, a good place to start is Thaumcraft.
  • If you want a more relaxed approach, explore the overworld and channel your inner nature with the Forestry mod!

How do I install the modpack? How much RAM should I allocate?

Detailed instructions on how to install the modpack and allocate RAM can be found here: Tekkit SMP Server Page. It is recommended to allocate between 4GB and 12GB of RAM. Allocating more than 12GB can cause issues.

Why is <item> banned?

SiriusMC optimises gameplay for our players, and some more destructive items are banned. These items are banned due to their potential to harm server performance or the economy, or because they may be used to destroy claimed player bases. Use /banneditems in-game to see the full list.
