What is Tekkit SMP?

Designed as an upgraded edition of Tekkit 2, and a continuation of the classic Technic Pack SSP modpack from the earliest days of Technic, Tekkit SMP is a modpack that was originally meant to be, with a nostalgic host of both technical and magical mods at your disposal.

Tekkit SMP contains the full range of mods from Tekkit 2, plus the mods that were dropped in the transition from Technic SSP to Tekkit: mainly Thaumcraft, Mystcraft, and Mo' Creatures. The new Tekkit SMP expands on that with various carefully selected Thaumcraft and Mystcraft addons, alongside Mo' Creatures Extended, and smaller additions such as Re-Crystallized Wing. Electro-Magic Tools is another starring mod, being an addon to both Industrial Craft and Thaumcraft, combining the worlds of tech and magic.

  • Multiplayer-focused design: Tekkit SMP is designed for multiplayer gameplay, with its optimization and curation for server performance and compatibility.
  • Expanded mod list: Tekkit SMP include a wide variety of carefully selected mods compared to previous Tekkit versions including additions such as Mo's Creatures to provide a rich variety of gameplay experience.

How do I start on the modpack?

The magic of Tekkit SMP is the freedom of doing things your way! 
Gather yourself some resources, build and claim your base and explore what the pack has to offer!

If your into Tech, a good place to start can be Buildcraft
If your into Magic, a good place to start can be Thaumcraft

If you want a more tame approach, explore the overworld and channel your inner-nature with the Forestry mod!

How to install the modpack? How much RAM to allocate?

It is officially recommended to have between 4GB - 12GB of RAM allocated. More than 12GB of RAM allocated can cause issues.

Why is <item> banned?

SiriusMC optimizes gameplay for our players and you may notice some more destructive items are banned.
These items are banned due to their possibility of harming server performance, economy or may be used in the destruction of player's claimed bases.  

You can use /banneditems to see which items have been banned for this reason.
